What's New

First Day of School 2014-2015

The first day of school for all students is Wednesday, July 30th. It is important to note that a student who does not attend the first two days of school and is not in his/her seat on the morning of the third day will be dropped by the SMFC School District from the Brewer Island School enrollment.

Please also note that if a student is absent for unexcused reasons for 3 or more days during the course of the school year, his/her attendance status is recorded with the State of California as being truant. Unexcused absences include trips, vacations, sporting events, Child to Work Day, private school or other private organization activities.

It’s also important to note that a partial day unexcused absence (more than 30 minutes) counts toward one of the 3 truancy days. Thus it is necessary to bring in a doctor or dentist receipt when absent for appointments.

Please feel free to call the school office for any clarification questions.
