Movie Night is one of the most anticipated & fun event of the year!! This month’s movie will be How to Train Your Dragon 2. So have your kids bring in their blankets and cozy up with their friends as the parents enjoy some “kid-free” time. Movie Night will be held in the BIES gym on Friday, February 27th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. The pre-paid cost is $10 PER child ($15 at the door) in exact change. For the safety and well-being of every student, the parents will need to SIGN-IN and SIGN-OUT their child and no student will be released to any unauthorized person at pick-up. Please make sure to pick-up your child promptly at 8:30 pm. There will be pizza and cookies but please BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE.
We also need several volunteers to help make this event run smoothly. Lend a hand by helping set-up, volunteering at the sign-in tables, purchasing and passing out the food, or assisting with clean-up.
To sign-up & volunteer, email Stacy Ferrer (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Time: 6:30 – 8:30 pm Location: BIES GYM
The BIES Student Council Community Service Project for 2015 is “Wishes and Dreams”. The goal of this project is to provide an opportunity for students to reach out to children who have life-threatening diseases and who are homeless. Instructions for donations have already been sent in each student’s Thursday Envelope – for “Wishes”, students are encouraged to bring in 4 quarters taped to the laminated paper pocket provided and for “Dreams” students are requested to donate a NEW stuffed animal and a crib sized blanket. These donated items are distributed to sick and homeless children by the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Project Night Night.
